All-New 2021 Yamaha R3 is more than capable of hard acceleration, cruising at speed, and track riding.
All-New Yamaha R3-Body & Design
The bike’s mechanics are the same as before.
The completely faired muscular layout of the 2021 Yamaha YZF-R3 includes:
- A stepped-up seat.
- A twin-pod headlamp cluster.
- A clip-on handlebar.
- An upswept exhaust.
- A raised windshield.
The front fairing has been updated to match the flagship Yamaha YZF-R1, providing enough space for the rider to hide behind during sprints down straight roads.
For devoted riders, the latest Yamaha R3 model comes with impressive design changes and upgraded equipment. The bike has an R15 V3-inspired faux air intake in the centre and slim twin headlights with more powerful LED illumination.
New R3 is equipped with a digital instrument console, all-LED lighting, and designer alloy wheels.
It also includes optional extras, including a sportier windscreen, a graphics protector, and a tank pad.
The new all-digital instrument panel, with white back-lit TFT and features including gear indicator, engine heat level, and digital clock, is another significant upgrade.
The clip-on handlebars now provide a sportier riding position, although the rear end configuration of the 321cc bike remains essentially unchanged from the previous model.
The new R3 is available in 3 new colors- Deep Purplish Blue, Matte Dark, and Cyan Metallic Grey.
Engine Performance & Specifications
The Yamaha R3 has a total displacement of 321cc comes equipped with a parallel-twin, liquid cooling engine.
The engine delivers max power of 42 PS at 10,750 rpm and a max torque of 29 Nm at 9000 rpm.
The Yamaha R3 is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. With 14 liters of fuel in the tank and all fluids included, the sports bike weighs 170kg.
The 2021 model produces the same amount of power as the BS4 model but with 0.8 Nm less torque.
Brake & Suspensions
The Yamaha R3’s suspension is handled by a telescopic fork in the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock in the rear.
The R3 comes with a 298 mm front disk and a 220 mm rear disc.
The safety net comes with dual-channel ABS as usual.
Price & Date of Launch
The new generation Yamaha R3 has a global price of $ 7899 and is expected to be released in India for INR 3.70 lakhs (Ex-showroom).
It was supposed to be on the market by December 2020, but the launch date has been pushed back due to a pandemic.
The expected price of the new Yamaha YZF-R3 in Nepal will be around Rs. 10, 00,000 Plus tax.
The official launch date has not been confirmed for Nepal.
