Here’s The New 2023 Volkswagen ID Aero EV Sedan!

Volkswagen ID Aero – Overview

Volkswagen launched its ID series of electric vehicles with the ID.4 compact SUV, one of the most popular body styles, before going overboard with the wacky, retro ID. a Buzz van.

Here are the major highlights:

  • The ID for Volkswagen. This VW’s electric ID is the newest member, called Aero.
  • Mid-size car with an appearance reminiscent of the ID.4 SUV and a stated range of more than 300 miles.
  • Although this is only a concept car, VW promised a production model would soon arrive in the United States.

With another recognizable-looking profile, the ID.Aero mid-size sedan is now bringing things back under control.

Despite being presented as a concept car above, this car will soon be available in production form and use the same MEB platform as those other vehicles.

Volkswagen claims that the sedan has a drag coefficient of 0.23, which is consistent with the ID.Aero name’s emphasis on aerodynamics.

That’s still slippery but not as fantastic as the Mercedes-Benz EQS‘ claimed 0.20.

Nevertheless, this should increase its range compared to the taller ID.4, whose range is EPA-rated at up to 275 miles.

According to Volkswagen, the ID.Aero will have a driving range of 385 miles on the kinder WLTP cycle, but we predict it will surpass 300 miles on the more demanding U.S. EPA cycle.

The ID.Aero is almost the same length as the previous mid-size Passat sedan at 190 inches.

With similar-looking headlamps and taillights, chrome roofline trim, a black roof, and well-known side surfacing, it closely resembles the design of its SUV sibling.

Although the vast 22-inch wheels and touch-sensitive door handles may not make it into production, we believe the finished product won’t differ significantly from the concept.

This sedan, according to VW, will be the company’s electric flagship vehicle and be offered in Europe, China, and North America.

When it enters the American market, it will face competition from cars like the Tesla Model 3, Hyundai Ioniq 6, and Polestar 2.

The ID.Aero’s production version should make its appearance sometime in 2023.

For VW, what does ID mean?

New technologies, identity, and intelligent design
“intelligent design, identification, and visionary technology” are represented by the ID abbreviation.  As a result, Volkswagen will only release all-electric vehicles that fall under the ID category.

What is the price of the Volkswagen electric ID?

The base Pro-grade of the 2022 Volkswagen ID. 4 has one of the highest starting MSRPs in the electric SUV segment at $40,760. Starting at $45,260 is the Pro S trim, the highest available.
