What do you do if your motorcycle servicing warranty has expired?

Kathmandu. With the second wave of Covid 19, local administrations in 72 districts of the country have imposed a ban. Upatyaka’s injunction has entered its third week.

Service time for consumers who purchase new motorcycles and scooters is running out in such a situation.

Companies set one month or 500 kilometers for the first servicing of a customer who buys a new motorcycle. Thus, as the ban has been extended, confusion has been created among the customers.

Most of the companies in India have extended the free servicing and warranty period for their customers.

During last year’s lockdown, Nepalese motorcycle dealers also extended the servicing and warranty span. The ban will almost certainly be extended again this time. Companies have begun to add time once again, this year.

“We have extended the warranty period and free servicing to our customers as before. We have also requested the customers to abide by the prohibition order and meet the health standards set by the government,” said Deepak Kumar Agrawal, Vice President, Jagdamba Mortas, the official distributor of TVS.

Similarly, other companies like Bajaj, Honda, Yamaha, Hero, Suzuki have also requested not to go out for servicing motorcycles under the ban.

All the companies have stated that they will extend the warranty and free service period depending on the duration of the ban.
