Porsche Cayenne Breaks Record!
The latest version of Porsche Cayenne breaks record for SUVs at the Nürburgring on Wednesday.
The latest version of Porsche’s Cayenne SUV smashed the lap record for SUVs at the Nürburgring on Wednesday.
Factory driver Lars Kern set a lap time of 7:38.925 in the trim level, which has yet to be officially revealed by the business.
The 7:38 lap time set on June 14 is four seconds faster than the previous record established in November 2019 by an Audi RS Q8.
No less than a new, slightly enigmatic ‘performance Cayenne.’ It is displeased with the reality that it no longer leads to a type of vehicle it essentially invented – the fast SUV.

Porsche has gone to great lengths to bury the Aston Martin DBX, Bentley Bentayga Speed, and Lamborghini Urus. Setting a new ‘Ring record in the category of ‘SUV, off-road vehicle, van, pick-up’ is a fairly good way to throw down the gauntlet.
“In this Cayenne, you’re tempted to turn around to make sure you’re actually sitting in a spacious SUV over the first few meters of the Nordschleife,” Kern said in a statement. “I had a much confidence in the Hatzenbach sector thanks to its high steering precision and stoically sturdy rear axle.”
In fast corners like the one between Hohe Acht and Eiskurve, it changed direction with lightning speed, minimal wobbling, and no tendency to understeer.
“This new Cayenne model has yet to be given a name, but Porsche says it is based on the Turbo trim level and produces north of 600 horsepower.
The business also claims that the 0-60 time will “rival” the upcoming Porsche 911 GT3.
The SUV rides on 22-inch Pirelli P-Zero Corsas that was built exclusively for this vehicle.
It’s safe to presume the car will be powered by a twin-turbo V-8 like the Turbo S E-Hybrid, but it’s uncertain whether it will use hybrid assistance like its sibling.
“This Cayenne model is a high-performing vehicle. We concentrated on great on-road performance during development. “According to Stefan Weckbach, vice president of the Cayenne model line, “Our world-record-breaking Cayenne is based on the Cayenne Turbo Coupé, but it has been meticulously developed for maximum longitudinal and lateral performance.” Its Nordschleife lap record attests to our new performance SUV’s dynamic qualities. It’s also a typical Cayenne all-rounder, with outstanding levels of driving comfort and everyday utility.”
Porsche hasn’t announced when this new Cayenne version will be revealed in its entirety.
Still, since it’s already smashing records, we shouldn’t have to wait long for details like exact specifications, pricing, and a name.
