JAC T8 Overview
Chinese brand JAC’s pickup ‘T-8‘ has arrived in Nepal. Shangrila Motors, which has been selling European brands like Peugeot and Citroen in Nepal, has brought T8 pickup to Nepal.
As the demand for pickups has increased in Nepal, the company decided to launch an all-new pickup, especially for Nepali roads.
From the arrival of 1,500 double-cab pickups in Nepal during the five months of the current fiscal year, from July to mid-November, the demand for pickups in Nepal is apparent.
Design of Jac T8
The ‘T-8’ brought by the company to Nepal looks very attractive. The company says that its power and features are also excellent.
The front end is impressive, with a massive four-bar shiny grille and a massive red JAC badge.
The T8 is JAC’s most giant crew cab pickup truck. It’s a stylish vehicle with a lot of sporty black cladding.
The pickup has a length of 5325 mm, a width of 1880 mm, and a height of 1830 mm.
Customers will get a 3090 mm wheel weight. It has an overall high ground clearance of 220 mm and 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.
The Interior is luxurious for a pickup truck in this segment, with faux leather and plenty of gleaming trim, but the infotainment system appears outdated.
The instrument binnacle features two large analog dials separated by a small screen.
Featuring 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and a 76-liter fuel tank, this muscular pickup includes two front airbags for safety, ABS with EBD, ESP, tire pressure monitor, front and rear parking sensors, Hill Hold Assist are provided.
JAC has been selling T8 pickups in petrol diesel engines in China. The model that came to Nepal has a 2.0-liter capacity diesel engine. It features a six-speed manual gearbox and a 76-liter fuel tank.
This pick truck has a 1999 cc engine that delivers 139 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque.
In this pickup, customers will get features like an automatic halogen headlamp, LED daytime running light, multi-functional steering wheel, 6-inch infotainment system, push bottom start, smartphone connectivity, electrical parking brake, auto hold, keyless entry.
Available on a four-wheel-drive system, the pickup will be sold by Shangrila Motors for less than Rs 60 lakhs. Official bookings will be open by next Friday.
