The wacky off-road Huracán from Lamborghini will be produced.

Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato – Overview

According to Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann, the V-10-powered Huracán supercar will get two new iterations in 2022.

Here are the major highlights:

  • A new Huracán model that appears to be a production version of the 2019 Sterrato concept has been teased by Lamborghini.
  • The Sterrato will be a V-10-powered supercar with higher suspension, plastic body cladding, and rally lighting that isn’t afraid to get dirty.
  • The Sterrato should make its finished appearance before the year is up, assuming it remains the same name.

The first, dubbed Tecnica, debuted in April and had less extreme aerodynamic components while still having a rear-wheel-drive, 631-hp powerplant from the track-focused Huracán STO.

With the recent release of a teaser film for the upcoming arrival of the off-road-focused Sterrato, Lamborghini has officially revealed the identity of the second new Huracán variant.

When Lamborghini unveiled the Sterrato concept in 2019, it immediately indicated that it was considering converting its 200 mph wedge into a rally car.

However, the Sterrato was only mentioned as a concept at the time.

Still, the latest footage shows a prototype tearing down a gravel road in camouflage, suggesting that the Sterrato will go into production.

The test car featured in the teaser video and the concept have a few distinct distinctions.

The third LED light bar affixed to the roof rails has been removed from the production model, but the presence of the roof rails will still allow owners to add their aftermarket auxiliary lights.

The production model still has a pair of rectangular LED rally lights above the front bumper.

The concept car’s black plastic wheel cladding and slatted engine cover look to be carried over into the production model.

However, an air intake also seems visible from the engine compartment.

The Sterrato is anticipated to debut before the end of 2022, though the teaser did not specify a release date.

The Sterrato’s mechanical details are unknown now, although it is assumed to have all-wheel drive and the same 5.2-litre V-10 with 631 horsepower as previous AWD Huracán versions.
