Royal Enfield Scram 411 Price In Nepal – Overview

Since its introduction in 2016, Royal Enfield’s Himalayan has increased popularity.

The two-wheeler manufacturer has worked hard to smooth out its rough edges, and as a result, the inexpensive adventure bike has developed a cult following.

Royal Enfield takes customer feedback seriously, and in response to calls for a multi-purpose motorbike, the brand has decided to introduce the Scram 411 to the Himalayan family.

Design & Aesthetic

The Scram 411 isn’t your typical Himalayan that’s been given a makeover. Instead, Royal Enfield has made specific designs and other significant changes to the scrambler to be more adaptive and versatile.

The sleek design, which avoids overdoing the aesthetic, is the first thing that will catch your eye.

This is a wise choice because it will appeal to buyers from many walks of life.

The windscreen is gone, and in its place is a retro round headlamp with a distinctive metal cowl surrounding it, as seen on the Himalayan.

Although halogen light is unsurprising, Royal Enfield may benefit from deploying an LED beam.

The key difference here is the height lowering of the grab rail to guarantee the back saddle is more accessible for pillion riders, despite the tail lamps being LEDs and a shorter rear fender in an accurate scrambler manner.

There are several cosmetic differences between Scram 411 and the Himalayan.

The Himalayan’s large fuel tank frame has been replaced with two compact side panels, and the seat has been replaced with a new single-piece design.

In addition, a smaller grab handle and a revised number plate and indicator have been added to the rear portion.

The seven new color schemes have other aesthetic variations.

Center Console

The Scram’s instrument cluster includes a single multi-functional speedometer with odometer reading, two trip meters, a gear indicator, and a digital fuel gauge as standard.

Royal Enfield hasn’t forgotten about its ardent explorers, who may add the Tripper turn-by-turn navigation system as an option.

This supplementary display pod, which debuted on the Meteor, is based on Google Maps and is both simple to use and accurate.

Unfortunately, the Tripper will not be a standard feature on the most expensive models.

The instrument console of the Scram 411 is identical to the one on the Meteor 350 but with a different color scheme.

The navigation screen for the Royal Enfield Tripper is an optional accessory.

While the Scram 411 lacks a tachometer, the most noticeable missing is the button to turn off the rear ABS.

Brakes, Tyres & Suspension

Fundamental changes can be noted when you get closer to the tyres.

To make it more road and trail-friendly, the front tyre is 19 inches, rather than the Himalayan’s 21 inches, while the rear tire is 17 inches.

Despite having the same 41mm front telescopic forks as the Himalayan, the Scram’s travel is 190mm, less than the Himalayan’s 200mm.

The wheel travel remains 180mm because the rear mono-shock is identical to its ADV sister.

The Scram 411 is equipped with the same dual-purpose Ceat Gripp XL tyres as the Himalayan, which provide good traction and grip on various surfaces.

The ground clearance is 200 mm, 20 mm less than the Himalayan, but it’s still enough to conquer the urban jungle and lord over dust or gravel tracks with ease.

The braking system is identical to the Himalayan, with a single 300mm disc brake on the front wheel and a 240mm disc on the back.

The Scram 411 has a dual-channel anti-lock braking system, but the rear wheel ABS cannot be turned off, unlike the Himalayan.

This feature will be omitted because Royal Enfield considers that scrambler riders would not be tackling rugged terrains such as the Himalayan.

Engine Specifications

Given that the Scram 411 is built on the Himalayan, it’s no surprise that it has the same 411cc single-cylinder oil-and-air cooled engine.

Because Royal Enfield hasn’t modified the power output, it now produces 24.3bhp and 32Nm of torque.

It also keeps the same 5-speed transmission with a large gearing ratio, which Royal Enfield didn’t want to change because it would compromise the bike’s off-roading skills. As a result, the engine is refined and comfortably cruises above the three-figure mark.

Power & Acceleration

The motorcycle is smooth and relaxing till it reaches 110-115 kmph; however, soon it passes 120 kmph, the power starts to fade.
These results are impressive when seen in the context of our current circumstances.

The Scram doesn’t disappoint in slow-moving traffic, though, with plenty of grunts delivered in a controlled manner.

Could Royal Enfield have made the first two gear ratios shorter? It would have given the powertrain a sense of urgency, as it seems flat below 1,800-2,000rpm, but it would also compel the rider to change gears frequently in bumper-to-bumper traffic.

The torque kicks in early enough to nullify the power surge, even if the power does not come rushing in at the low-end speed.

The engine’s maximum capacity is found in the mid-range power band, where it feels more at ease and zippy.

It not only neutralized the terrain, but it did it while remaining poised and in complete control.

Handling, Comfort & Ergonomic

Because the Scram is a more street-oriented motorbike, the handlebars are 60mm lower and 20mm closer to the rider, making the stance appropriate for urban and off-roading conditions.

With a neutral riding position, it’s simple to stand on the footpegs and guide the stable without stumbling. Taller riders, over 6 feet tall, will have to slough a little.

The new saddle is pretty supportive and comfortable for city commutes, but if you routinely travel long distances, the seat might have been stiffer because you tend to sink into it.

The Scram, like all Royal Enfield motorcycles, comes with a wide choice of accessories, including a touring seat, which can be customized using the MiY (make it yours) option. T

The Scram, based on a sturdy Himalayan chassis, can withstand abuse while cushioning dips and even deep potholes.

The bike carpets the thud; while its suspension isn’t as gently sprung as the Himalayan, you know the turf conditions.

The brakes are one area where Royal Enfield needs to improve, as they seem vague and have an initial soft bite.

The mushy and delayed input does not inspire much confidence in an emergency. Therefore the front brake lever must be yanked hard.

Should You Buy It?

The Himalayan is already a popular motorbike, and the Scram 411’s focus on the road will only add to its appeal.

Because of the revised suspension set-up and less weight have managed to retain the ADV’s qualities with more excellent handling characteristics.

The bike is nimble, allowing you to swiftly weave through traffic and maneuver on broken, rugged terrain. The engine is still refined, and vibrations are only noticeable beyond 7,000 rpm, resulting in a mostly smooth ride.

Launch Date & Price

The Launch of Royal Enfield Scram 411 is supposedly around mid-2022 and the expected price of Scram 411 is around Rs. 8.5 lakhs to 9.5 lakhs.
