The Elektrode will be unveiled with various side-by-side models on June 7, but we already know how the balancing bike will look.

“This article is an electric motorcycle,” says the filing’s description (translated from Japanese).

A battery is kept between the front and rear wheels inside the body structure, and a motor is located in the centre of the rear wheels.”

The grayscale parts of the images are only protected by the design filing, with dashed lines representing other components such as the hub motor indicated in the description.

Because the picture below depicts what we presume are screw holes for accessing the power source, the battery appears to take up the majority of the mainframe.

The handlebars aren’t included in the concept, but we expect the finished model to have a throttle grip and switchgear.

Two hand levers for operating the brakes are also seen in the sketches.

On the back wheel is a bicycle-style rim brake, and while there is no corresponding brake on the front wheel, mounting points for one can be seen on the fork.

The saddle has the appearance of a conventional bicycle seat and post, making it simple to modify the height to suit child riders of various ages.

The designs include a number plate that connects to Kawasaki’s KX models on the front end of the frame. Expect a green colour scheme and graphics reminiscent of Kawasaki’s dirt bikes.

The design submission contains no information concerning the battery capacity or the motor’s power output.

Therefore, official specs and pricing for the Kawasaki Elektrode balance bike will have to wait until the June 7 presentation.
