Fisker Teases Its Third Model, the Ronin Grand Tourer.
2024 Fisher Project Ronin – Overview
Fisker’s first new electric vehicle, the Ocean crossover, is scheduled to go into production in November, but the company has already announced what it hopes would be its third model.
Here are the major highlights:
- Fisker has released a teaser image for Project Ronin, the company’s third model after the Ocean and the Pear.
- The slinky sports car will include active aerodynamics and stylish doors and strive to have the most extended range for a production EV.
- Fisker plans to begin manufacturing in the second half of 2024, with a complete reveal scheduled for August 2023.
The vehicle, dubbed Project Ronin, will be an electric sports car with seating for four and dramatic proportions, as shown in the teaser image.
The name is a nod to Robert De Niro’s 1998 action picture Ronin, known for its realistic vehicle chases using European cars swerving around Paris and the French countryside.
The Ronin has been in development since last year, and Fisker’s high objective is for it to have “the world’s greatest range for a production EV.”
That means it’ll have to outperform the Lucid Air, which ranges up to 520 miles, according to the EPA.
Project Ronin, according to Fisker, will include “a unique battery architecture” that integrates the battery pack into the vehicle’s frame.
Active aerodynamics and lightweight materials will also be included in the sports car.
Fisker also claims that the Ronin will have “unique doors” that will improve access and egress, although he doesn’t specify what shape these doors will take.
“A luxury, sustainable vegan interior,” according to the cabin’s description. Project Ronin will be revealed entirely in August 2023, with production starting in the second half of 2024, according to Fisker.
After that, however, Fisker is scheduled to unveil its second crossover, the Pear, with sales beginning in 2024.
