The 2024 Kia Seltos will be sportier, Inside & Out!
2024 Kia Seltos – Overview
For the Korean market, Kia revealed photos of the redesigned Seltos. We anticipate this facelift for the 2024 model year to arrive in the United States.
Here are the major highlights:
- Images display a revised appearance with new taillights and a wider front grille.
- The Seltos’ interior features a large screen on the dash and a head-up display.
- Images of the Seltos that Kia released for the Korean market demonstrate a new exterior and a revamped interior.
Although we don’t yet know the specifics for the United States, we’re optimistic that comparable reforms will soon be arriving in North America.
Body & Aesthetics
We like how the subcompact SUV’s exterior revisions, based on the Hyundai Kona, look.
The updated design includes reshaped daytime running lights and a somewhat taller grille and is shown here with a two-tone exterior color scheme with a light blue body and a black roof.
The taillights have also been modified, and the back now features a stylish light strip that spans the vehicle’s width.
Among the interior upgrades, a new set of display screens resembles those in many more recent Kia cars.
The infotainment panel on the right is housed in the same device as the digital gauge cluster on the left, and we also noticed what appears to be a head-up display.
The brown leather depicted here might expand the palette of upholstery colors, and ambient lighting might become a new choice.
A rotary-style shifter replaces the conventional gear lever, but we’re not sure if that will be included in the American version.
The 2023 Seltos is said to have more excellent sound deadening and safety measures while we wait for the revised 2024 model to arrive in the U.S.
The starting price for the 2023 Seltos is $24,185, and when the 2024 model is released, there may be a slight price increase.
The Seltos has two engines: a base 2.0-liter inline-four with naturally aspirated 146 horsepower or a 1.6-liter inline-four with optional turbocharged 175 horsepower.
The turbo Seltos we tested on our 75 mph highway fuel-economy test returned 30 mpg.
We don’t know if the powertrain will change for the 2024 model, but Kia should reveal more details in the coming months.
