New 2023 Toyota Tundra Pickup Now With SX TRIM!
2023 Toyota Tundra Pickup – Overview
The Toyota Tundra pickup truck has just received a long-awaited facelift for 2022.
We expect minimal changes in the year following a significant model shift, and that’s precisely what the Tundra has in store for 2023.
Here are the major highlights:
- The Tundra receives an SX Package for 2023, including black and dark gray design elements.
- Dealerships should receive the 2023 Tundras later this summer.
- The Toyota Tundra full-size pickup is in its first year after undergoing a significant overhaul.

We were hoping for a production version of the TRD Desert Racer concept from the SEMA exhibition last autumn.
But unfortunately, the only new Tundra news is the addition of a new SX Package for the SR5 trim level.
The SX Package darkens the exterior and interior trim and the wheels uniquely. Unfortunately, it seemed to be everywhere.
It’s a formula Toyota has employed before, notably under the Nightshade moniker, on vehicles including the Tacoma, 4Runner, Sequoia, and Camry 2023.
On the other hand, the Camry goes all out with its golden wheels, but the Tundra keeps things simple with dark gray 18-inch wheels.
It also gives the door handles, body trim, rear bumper middle part, and rear 4×4 insignia a black finish.

The interior is black, and the Tundra door badges have been removed.
White, silver, gray, or black are the four grayscale exterior colors available with the SX Package.
The SX Package is only available on 4×2 and 4×4 Tundra SR5 models, one level above the SR but below the Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone.

The 2023 SR5 and the SX Package pricing have yet to be announced, although the 2022 SR5 started at $43,150.
The Tundra SR5 SX will be available later this summer alongside the rest of the 2023 models.
