2023 Next Generation Ford Ranger Overview

On November 24, Ford will debut the next-generation Ranger mid-size truck in Europe, hinting at what the new version will provide when presented in the United States shortly after.
While Ford took a long time to prepare the worldwide Ranger for its 2019 debut in the United States with the previous generation, we predict a shorter wait this time.
The new Ranger will sit between Ford’s new Maverick and F-150 pickups in the truck lineup, and a high-performance Ranger Raptor variant may be on the way.
According to spy photographs and teases, the new Ranger will have similar proportions to the existing model with a grille that looks like a cross between the Maverick and the F-150.
It will be available in both extended and crew-cab models, as before. In addition, a roll bar is featured in the truck’s bed in numerous teasers for installing equipment such as lighting.
The new Ranger is expected to use the same turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine as the current model in the United States. It has a power output of 270 horsepower and a torque output of 310 pound-feet.
In the current model, that engine is rated to tow up to 7500 pounds and gets 23 mpg combined, according to the EPA. A more powerful turbocharged V-6 engine could be used in the Ranger Raptor.
More information about the 2023 Ford Ranger will be available soon.
