The Ford F-150 Rattler will debut in 2023 as an entry-level off-road vehicle.
2023 Ford F-150 Rattler-Overview
Ford F-150 consumers already have many options, with eight different models ranging from the entry-level XL to the desert-taming Raptor.
Each model also comes with a variety of packages and equipment groups.
However, the Blue Oval is expanding its inventory with the addition of the F-150 Rattler, a new off-road package.
Here are the major highlights:
- With the 2023 F-150 Rattler, Ford adds another off-road variation to the F-150 portfolio.
- The Rattler includes several of the FX4’s features, such as an electronic locking rear differential and hill descent control.
- According to Ford, the Rattler is expected to cost slightly less than the FX4 package when it arrives this fall.
The Rattler will be based on the F-150 XL four-wheel-drive variant, which will start at $39,200 in 2022.
It gets similar features as the FX4 package, such as an electronic locking rear differential, hill descent control, and off-road-tuned shock absorbers.
The transfer case, fuel tank & front differential are all protected by skid plates, and the Rattler is equipped with all-terrain tires.
The Rattler will be available exclusively as a SuperCab or SuperCrew.
Like the $1005 FX4, choosing one of the different engines will necessitate the twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6, 5.0-liter V-8, or twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6, and a more expensive equipment package.
Painted 18-inch aluminum wheels differentiate the Rattler and dual exhaust tips that Ford claims generate “a powerful sound.”
On the fenders is a Rattler emblem, and on the side of the bed is a Rattler graphic with a snakeskin look.
In addition, bronze highlights and stitching may be found on the interior.
According to Ford, the Rattler is expected to cost slightly less than the FX4 package when it arrives this fall for the 2023 model year.
