The Toyota Tundra Capstone, available in 2022, is the pickup’s new $75,000 flagship model.
2022 Toyota Tundra Capstone- Overview
Toyota has stated that the Tundra Capstone will start at $75,225, which is $6725 more than the TRD Pro, the next most expensive trim level.
It’s also more expensive than the top trim levels of the Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado 1500, and Ram 1500, which all start under $70,000.
The Toyota Tundra full-size truck boasts a slew of new features and technologies, and there’s now a flagship model that has it all.
In addition, the Tundra Capstone, which was just launched, has a few distinctive qualities of its own.
It’ll be available in the spring and sit above the Platinum and 1794 variants in the truck’s inventory.
Here are the major highlights of the 2022 Toyota Tundra Capstone:
- The Toyota Tundra pickup truck will be available in a fully loaded Capstone model in 2022.
- It’s equipped with air springs, a 14.0-inch touchscreen, and luxury trim details, and it’s propelled by a new 437-hp twin-turbo V-6 hybrid engine.

Like the TRD Pro, the Capstone is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.4 liters V-6 iForce MAX hybrid engine which delivers 437 HP & 583 pound-feet of torque.
Toyota claims that Capstone models can tow up to 10,340 pounds and carry a maximum payload of 1485 pounds; other Tundra grades can haul more.
In addition, with adjustable dampers, Tundra’s revolutionary rear air springs can raise or lower the bed.
Tundra Capstones are only available in crew cab with a 5.5-foot bed and come equipped with chrome 22-inch wheels.
In addition, the outside of the grille is color-matched with chrome inserts (shown is an example finished in Wind Chill Pearl), and the “Tundra” script on the tailgate is also adorned with chrome.
Optional automated running boards and a bedside step are also standard features.
The interior of the Capstone is black and white leather with walnut trim and an illuminated Capstone emblem on the dashboard.
The interior is also fully equipped with Tundra’s technological amenities.
A new 14.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.3 digital gauge cluster, a 10.0-inch color head-up display, and a JBL sound system are all part of the package.
