2022 Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition-Overview
On Sunday, Porsche revealed a few improvements to its Cayenne SUV, including improved infotainment technology and a new Platinum Edition option.
These improvements are identical to those made to Porsche’s Panamera 2022 line late last year.
The Panamera is no longer the only Porsche car available in the Platinum Edition trim level.
The Platinum Edition package will be offered on the SUV and coupe body variants of the Porsche Cayenne in 2022.
The Cayenne Platinum Edition is new for this year, and it adds some beautiful satin platinum touches to the SUV’s exterior.
In addition, 21-inch wheels, sport tailpipes, LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, Bose audio system, eight-way power-adjustable seats, and other goodies are included on this new model.
The slick platinum accents look great on the black Cayenne shown above, but the Company claims the same treatment can be applied to the SUV’s Carrara White, Mahogany, Moonlight Blue exterior hues or Chalk.
The Porsche Communication Management 6.0 interface, housed on a 12.3-inch tablet in the dashboard, makes its way into the Cayenne on the electronics front.
In addition to wireless Apple CarPlay, PCM 6.0 offers a more straightforward menu structure than the previous version and, more importantly, adds wired Android Auto support.
There’s also an integrated Spotify app, and this update will be available to all 2022 Cayenne models.
Despite its designation, Car’s mid-Platinum sizer’s Edition features exquisite platinum-painted highlights rather than the metal for which it is named.
For the Cayenne Platinum Edition, Porsche uses Satin Platinum paint to coat a number of the vehicle’s badges and its fascia-mounted intake treatment.
In addition, the model’s black exhaust tips and window trim enhance its sinister appearance.
The Platinum Edition SUV starts at $80,350, which is $10,000 more than the basic Cayenne SUV (the Platinum Edition coupe, on the other hand, starts at $84,650, which is $5800 more than the standard Cayenne coupe).
The more cash gets the Platinum Edition, a slew of extras that aren’t included in lower Cayennes.
However, the E-Hybrid coupe is priced at $95,150, and the Cayenne S coupe is priced at $96,950. These are the most expensive Platinum variants.
