The hatchback variant of Honda’s new Civic for 2022 is almost ready to be revealed.

The 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback with a colourful teaser that featured a silhouette of the automobile.
Although much of the car was buried in shadows, the hatchback design was clearly visible in the teaser.
However, one CivicXi.com forum user increased the brightness of the teaser image to disclose what Honda didn’t want us to see, and the results aren’t surprising.

Before we go further, here are 3 major highlights of the Honda Civic Hatchback 2021:
- The redesigned Honda Civic hatchback for 2022 will make its premiere on June 23.
- Unlike the sedan, the Hatchback will come with a six-speed manual transmission.
- Honda is also shifting hatchback production from the United Kingdom to its Indiana factory.
Because the base 2.0-litre inline-four featured on the 2022 Civic sedan is unlikely to be available here, we expect the hatch to come standard with the 180-hp turbocharged 1.5-litre inline-four that’s optional on the sedan.
In addition, the LX, Sport, and EX trim levels will undoubtedly be available.
A continuously variable automatic will be offered in addition to the manual transmission.
Although there isn’t much to see in this dark, hazy photograph, we know that the new Hatchback will be based on the clean and elegant sedan.
The Hatchback will feature a redesigned greenhouse and increased cargo space in the back, which will be the most noticeable differences aft of the B-pillar.
Except for the trunk, which has been replaced with a hatch, the next-generation Honda Civic Hatchback looks quite similar to the Honda Civic Sedan debuted in April.
The Civic Hatchback has the same style as the Accord. The curve in the lower doors is present, as is the crisp, vertical body line directly above the door handles.
The Hatchback appears to have the same front end as the sedan, while it appears that the rear will have its own set of taillights, which makes sense.
However, the rear-end characteristics of the car are altered by the hatchback configuration.
The Civic Hatchback has generally been the sportier of the two models, but that appears to have changed with the next-generation vehicle.
The hatchback should have the same attractive inside as the sedan. In addition, Honda Sensing safety features, digital displays, and other creature amenities should all be available.
A 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a 12-speaker Bose sound, and other luxuries for the sedan are likely to be available as options.
More details on the 2022 Civic hatchback will be released soon, with a live-stream debut on Honda’s YouTube account on June 23 at 6 p.m. Eastern time.
